Dimitri Riabouchinsky (1882–1962) – Autograph • Diary No. 2 (16 March 1948 to 6 December 1949) by Dimitri Riabouchinsky. Personal notebook containing notes in Russian and French, 189 pp. (entirely filled in with pen and pencil), 30 x 20 cm, the original binding is detached, in poor condition (stains, tears). The notebook contains a wide variety of daily notes: addresses and telephone numbers, lists of telephone calls, calculations, handwritten extracts from magazine articles, diary-style notes on visits and activities, calculations of annual membership fees for the Society for the Preservation of Russian Cultural Values, and notes on past meetings of the society. The Society for the Preservation of Russian Cultural Values, founded in 1945 in Paris, aimed to catalogue and promote preserved Russian cultural heritage, as well as to establish a museum in Paris. Dimitri Riabouchinsky was its president. Russian Art Dmitry Ryabushinsky (1882–1962) – Autograph • Journal No. 2 (16 March 1948 to 6 December 1949) by Dmitri Ryabushinsky. The notebook contains a collection of daily entries of a wide variety: addresses and telephone numbers, lists of telephone calls, calculations, handwritten excerpts from magazine articles, diary-style notes on visits and affairs, calculations of annual membership fees for the Society for the Preservation of Russian Cultural Values, and notes on past meetings of the society. The Society for the Preservation of Russian Cultural Values was founded in 1945 in Paris; its aim was to catalogue preserved Russian cultural artefacts and increase their number, as well as to establish a museum in Paris. Dmitry Ryabushinsky served as the society’s chairman.
