Dimitri Riabouchinsky (1882–1962) – Autograph
• Dimitri Riabouchinsky’s notebook dating from 1949. Personal and working notebook containing notes of various kinds, 187 pp. (entirely filled in with ink and pencil), in Russian and French, 30 x 19.5 cm, original binding, as is. The notebook contains various personal and scientific notes and calculations, correspondents’ addresses, extracts from articles, as well as pasted-in newspaper clippings concerning Einstein, the USSR, the fine arts, and American military production. The notebook also contains a large number of calculations, sketches of fragments of mechanism details, calculations on cyclic motion, as well as various topics related to hydrodynamics. In the course of his daily work, Dimitri Riabouchinsky verifies various theorems and equations, their applicability to his own ideas, and carries out a series of necessary calculations.
