Alexander Dmitrievich Nechvolodov (1864–1938) – Russian military and public figure, author of books on history and treatises on economics. In accordance with the wishes of Nicholas II, the author illustrated the publication with numerous drawings: reproductions of historical paintings by contemporary Russian artists, images of ancient icons, manuscripts, church murals, historic buildings, weapons and various utensils.
