GENERAL LIST OF OFFICER RANKS in the Imperial Russian Army. Compiled as at 1 January 1910. Published by the Military Printing Office, Saint Petersburg, 1910. 1123 pp., publisher’s blue leather binding, decorated with a double-headed eagle, in-8, A.B.E. (tears to the spine, signs of rubbing, block detached at the spine). Very rare.

Published by the Military Printing House, St Petersburg, 1910. 1123 pp., publisher’s blue cloth binding with gold-stamped double-headed eagle, generally fair condition (spine cracks, scuffing to binding, block broken along the spine). A rarity.
The publication contains a list of all officers of the Russian Army as of 1 January 1909; the material is organised in accordance with the structure of the Ministry of War: departments and senior military establishments; the Guard; the Infantry; the Cavalry; the Artillery; the Engineer Corps; the Cossack troops; military institutions and establishments. For each individual, the surname, first name, patronymic, military rank and place of service are given; for military units, the city of garrison is provided. An alphabetical index of surnames is included at the end of the book.
