A SELECTION of five photographs depicting cruisers and submarines of the Imperial Navy (the cruiser ‘Lieutenant Gouchine’, the submarine ‘Orlan’, the battleship ‘Tsarevich’), 1910–1917. Various formats (from 110 x 90 mm to 88 x 133 mm). A portrait of a sailor with his wife, silver print from the studio of I. Yakovlev in Kronstadt, 160 x 110 mm (cardboard). We enclose a reproduction of a postcard depicting the armoured cruiser “Admiral Makarov”. Annotated on the reverse.
Provenance: Solodkov Yuri Nikolaevich (1921–1989). Writer, illustrator, collector, son of N.P. Solodkov.
