Officer’s chachka of the Dragoons of the Order of Saint Anne “For Valour”, 1881 model, with a single-branch hilt in gilded bronze engraved on both sides in Cyrillic with the words “For Valour”, the pommel inlaid with the 4th-class insignia of the Order of St Anne in gilded bronze and red enamel, with its sword knot in the colours of the Order of St Anne and a tassel embroidered with silver thread, the tang in blackened, fluted wood; the steel blade decorated on one side with the double-headed imperial eagle and on the other with the date ‘1889’ within a rich border of foliage and interlacing patterns, the edge of the blade engraved in Cyrillic with the mark of the Zlatoust arms factory.
