ORDER OF ST GEORGE Cross of the Order of St George, 3rd class, in gold (56 zolotniks, 583 thousandths) and white enamel, with polychrome enamelled and painted centres. In good overall condition, with small cracks in the centres. With an attached ribbon sewn into a rosette. St Petersburg, 1908–1917. Goldsmith: probably ‘VD’ in Cyrillic, standing for Vera DIETWALD.
