Commemorative token marking the centenary of the Pavlovsk Military School in 1898, in vermeil 84 zolotniks (875 thousandths) and polychrome enamels; the obverse bears the effigy of Tsar Paul I, whilst the reverse is engraved with the recipient’s name, “I.I. Rogozinsky’ on a ribbon in Cyrillic script; hinged and containing two oval photograph holders (one glass missing), with its chain. Chips and restorations to the enamel. Saint Petersburg, 1899–1908. No silversmith’s mark. H. 3.9 x W. 2.7 cm. Gross weight: 23.2 g.
