St Petersburg, Naval Academy Press (Морская Академическая типография), 1748. A scientific work for the training of naval officers, comprising a preface addressed ‘to navigators’, treatises on geometry, trigonometry, nautical astronomy and cosmography, and numerous engraved plates: geometric figures, armillary spheres, lunar phases, diagrams of planetary systems, zodiacal circles, and tables for calculating the length of the day according to climate (with an example for Saint Petersburg). Quarto format, contemporary brown half-leather binding, spine with slight raised bands, gilt title on the spine: ‘С. МОРДВИНОВЪ / КНИГИ ПОЛНАГО СОБРАНІЯ / О НОВИГАЦІИ’.
