Description
A collection of coloured lithographic plates. Printed title page bearing the inscription: ‘Рисунки первой части. Царствованіе Петра Великаго. 1685–1725’ (Drawings from the first part. The reign of Peter the Great. 1685–1725). Each plate bears the printed inscription ‘Лит. фанъ Долена’ (lithographer van Dollen). Small folio-sized binding in full contemporary cardboard covered with dark green marbled paper speckled with blue; a green leather title label, gilded, mounted on the upper cover, bearing the inscription ‘РИСУНКИ ПЕТРА ВЕЛИКАГО’ within a gilded floral frame; the spine is in worn leather. As is, the spine is split and largely detached at the top and bottom, with the stitching visible; the covers are heavily rubbed with material loss at the corners; the interior plates are well preserved, with vivid colours, and there are a few scattered foxing spots on the title page.
