A History of His Majesty’s 13th Yerevan Grenadier Regiment spanning 250 years. ‘History of His Majesty’s 13th Yerevan Life Grenadier Regiment over 250 years. M.F. — A.III. 1642–1892’. BOBROVSKI, Pavel Ossipovich (1832–1905). Compiled from archival documents and other primary sources by Lieutenant-General P.O. Bobrovski, of the General Staff. St Petersburg, V.S. Balachev Printing Works, Catherine Canal, No. 80, 1893. Two volumes from this same series comprising seven books: - Part III: ‘Chasseurs’ [Егеря] (1786–1816) — 313 pp., ill.; - Appendices to Part III (1786–1816) — 391 pp. Part III traces the formation of the Kuban Light Infantry Corps in 1786 from the disbanded Butyrsk Infantry Regiment, the formation of the 18th Light Infantry Regiment from it in 1797, its renaming as the 17th Chasseurs Regiment in 1801, and subsequently its promotion to the 7th Carabiniers Regiment in 1816 for acts of valour during the campaigns in Persia and the Caucasus. Bound in the same editorial style as the rest of the series, in brown percaline, with gilt and polychrome title and ornamentation, monograms of Empress Maria Feodorovna and Tsar Alexander III, the Cross of St George with ribbon, and rich floral ornamentation. Large quarto format (34.5 x 28 cm). Signs of wear, scuffing to the corners and headbands, a few annotations by previous owners.
