Work dedicated ‘to the sovereign head of the regiment’ (Посвящается Державному шефу). Richly decorated publisher’s bindings in ecru leather: gilt title and numerals of Empress Maria Feodorovna and Tsar Alexander III, dates ‘1642–1892’, the Cross of St George and ribbon, spine with faux raised bands decorated with title labels on red and black leather.
Large quarto format (35 x 29 cm).
Bindings damaged, spines split, covers partially detached, caps and corners worn; interior generally fresh, a few scattered stains.
A reference work on the history of the oldest regiment in the Russian Imperial Army (founded in 1642), compiled from archival documents by Lieutenant-General P.O. Bobrovski, the only historian entrusted by the Officers’ Society of the Yerevan Regiment with the task of compiling its chronicle.
