Compiled from archival documents by officers of the regiment. St Petersburg, Trenke & Fusnot Press, 1896. Print run of 500 copies.

- Text: 171 pp., numerous illustrations and portraits in separate plates;
- Atlas: 32 lithographed plans and maps of the regiment’s battles and manoeuvres (Austerlitz, Friedland, Borodino, Kulm, Leipzig, Telich 1877, etc.), with a list of plates.
Publisher’s binding, richly illustrated in polychrome and gilt (illustrators N. Bounine and P. Tikhonovitch): flags, drums, bayoneted rifles, trumpets and St George’s ribbons, St Andrew’s plaque and a ribbon reading ‘For Telich, 12 October 1877’ commemorating the regiment’s heroic exploits during the Russo-Turkish War. Triple gilt edges.
Large quarto format (34 x 26 cm).
Spine in brown leather, rubbed; a few pages yellowed and water-stained at the beginning of the volume.
A rare standard reference edition, regarded as one of the finest Russian regimental histories, both for its text and for its rich collection of illustrations and maps.
