Everyday winter tunic of an officer of the Autonomous Border Guard Corps
(Отдельный корпус пограничной стражи, established in 1893 and under the authority of the Ministry of Finance).
Made of dark green woollen cloth, with ‘pale green’ piping, fastening with a single front panel on the left, featuring 2 x 7 gilded brass buttons bearing the imperial eagle, stand-up collar and sleeve facings in pale green cloth, tapering to a single gilded button, embroidery in gold thread (oxidised) on the collar and sleeves featuring a column motif, without epaulettes. Cream-coloured silk lining. Signs of wear, damage and missing sections.
