Description
Colonel’s overcoat of the 2nd Pavlograd Hussar Regiment of Emperor Alexander III (Павлоградский 2-й лейб-гусарский полк), 1908 model. Worn here ‘slipped on’ in place of the dolman (as part of the everyday uniform), made of dark green woolen cloth and black sheep’s wool, with gold braid and brandebourg, featuring 2 x 5 buttons bearing the imperial eagle in gilded brass, and a pale green silk lining. Signs of wear, damage and moth holes, with some fabric missing. Reign of Nicholas II, 1908–1917.
