Description
Officer’s frock coat (syrtuk) of the 9th East Siberian Tirailleurs Regiment, 1898 model. Made of ‘Tsar’s green’ woollen cloth, fastening at the left with a front panel secured by 2 x 6 gilded brass buttons bearing the imperial eagle, stand-up collar with raspberry-coloured piping, as on the cuffs, with a pair of second captain’s (штабс-капитан) epaulettes; cream and black silk lining; numbered ‘691’ on the inside. Signs of wear, damage and missing parts. Nicholas II period, 1898–1910.
