Description
Parade cuirass of the Regiment of the Knights-Guards of Her Majesty the Empress or of the Mounted Guard Regiment. Made of iron covered with gilded brass, with red cord piping; shoulder straps with brass scales on a red leather core. Beige linen lining. As is, one of the shoulder straps is detached and needs reattaching; the cord is worn and also needs reattaching. The brass shoulder straps bear various marks, including ‘Zlatoust’ and ‘1857’. Russia, second half of the 19th century. H. 42 cm.
