Parade cuirass of the Regiment of the Knights-Guards of Her Majesty the Empress or of the Mounted Guard Regiment. Made of iron overlaid with gilded brass, with red cord piping; shoulder straps with brass scales on a red leather core. Beige linen lining. As is: one of the shoulder straps is torn; shows oxidation and various signs of wear. The brass shoulder straps bear various marks, including ‘Zlatoust’ and ‘1857’. Russia, second half of the 19th century. H. 40 cm.
