Made of black leather, adorned with the double-headed imperial eagle in gilded brass, stamped with two crossed cannons at its base, surmounted by a gilded brass band engraved with the distinction ‘За отличие’ (For Distinction). With a black leather visor edged with gilded brass and a neck flap. Hinged chinstraps with domed gilded brass scales attached to rosettes; a metal cockade in black, orange and white on the right. Lining of black horsehair chenille. Wear and damage to the leather; original lining with minor losses.
