Description
Parade cap for cadets (Junkers) at the Nicolas Cavalry School, 1909 model.
Made of black woollen cloth, with yellow braid and cords, red piping along the upper edge, black leather visor edged with gilded brass, adorned with a radiating gilded brass front plate centred on a St Andrew’s cross in silver-plated metal with polychrome enamel, surmounted by a regimental cockade; gilded brass scale-pattern chin straps, buttons featuring the imperial eagle in gilded brass. Repair to the chin strap; cords probably replaced; missing its plume.
