A chapka belonging to a soldier in a Guard Dragoon regiment, 1882 model.
The cap is made of red woollen cloth and features a wide black lambswool band (with some missing sections); in the centre is the Guard’s Saint Andrew’s badge, made of silver-plated metal with polychrome enamel, surmounted by a metal regimental cockade. Signs of wear and minor damage.
