A 1881 Cossack-style troop papakha,
made of long-haired black sheepskin with a blue woollen crown featuring white piping, adopted in 1901 for troops in the Siberian Military District.
The interior is embroidered with the soldier’s name in Cyrillic in red: ‘K. German’, with the manufacturer’s stamp ‘Alexandrov’ in Moscow.
