Description
Imperial Fleet admiral’s bicorne, full dress, 1855 model, in a specially shaped storage box. Made of black felt, adorned with a braid consisting of two admiral’s twists in gold thread, applied to a cockade embroidered with white-orange-black officer’s braid and fastened with a regulation Navy button in gilded brass; twists of silver thread at both ends. Wear to the felt, minor imperfections, detached brown leather inner band on the inside. The manufacturer’s gold mark on the inside has been worn away. Russia, late 19th – early 20th century. H. 15 x W. 16 x D. 45 cm.
