Description
Cap of the 5th Alexandriyski Hussar Regiment, nicknamed the ‘Black Hussars’, with an upper crown of black woollen cloth, edged with white piping around the crown and the band; the band is of raspberry-coloured cloth, the peak in black patent leather, with a silver and gold metal cockade, enamelled black, mounted on a metal rosette. Minor losses to the leather, the peak has been re-varnished and there are moth holes. Reign of Nicholas II, 1907–1914. H. 13 x D. (inside) 18 cm.
