Description
Officer’s collar badge of the 82nd Dagestan Infantry Regiment, intended for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th battalions, made of gilded brass in the shape of a crescent, of the 1909 model, centred on a double-headed imperial eagle in gilded bronze, surrounded by the inscriptions in Cyrillic: ‘За отличие на Кавказе съ 1846-1859’ (For distinction in the Caucasus from 1846 to 1859) in gilded brass, with a border featuring repoussé braided decoration. Missing its two buttons and lining; five hooks on the reverse. The decoration was awarded to the regiment on 4 August 1860, but this collar is a historical recreation in accordance with the 1909 regulations. Russia, 1909–1917. H. 5.4 x W. 13 cm.
