Russian infantry officer’s uniform of the Drozdovsky Regiment, comprising - a cap with a white band and an embossed metal cockade, a scarlet crown, a compressed leather peak and a waxed canvas sweatband; black cloth lining. - four-pocket tunic in khaki wool cloth with a five-hole button placket; scarlet piping on the sleeves and green on the pockets. - epaulettes in scarlet wool cloth with gold and silver braid; shooting prize badge bearing the figure of Nicholas II - Drozdovsky Regiment patch – chevron in the colours of Imperial Russia. - Service number 24854 B inscribed on the lining of the pockets Fine example in Civil War style, mid-20th century Provenance: Private collection, Paris XVI Uniform of a Russian infantry officer of the Drozdovsky Regiment, complete set Consists of: — a cap with a white brim and a stamped metal cockade; scarlet crown, pressed leather peak, interior with a waxed canvas forehead band; black cloth lining. — a tunic with four pockets made of woolen cloth in a protective colour, fastened with five buttons; scarlet piping on the cuffs and green piping on the pocket flaps. — epaulettes of scarlet cloth with gold and silver braid; a shooting award badge bearing the monogram of Nicholas II. — the Drozdovsky Regiment sleeve badge; a chevron in the colours of Imperial Russia. — An inventory number is present on the pocket lining: 24854 B. A characteristic set from the Civil War period, made in the mid-20th century. Provenance: Private collection, 16th arrondissement of Paris.
