[UNION OF RUSSIAN ARTISTS] Grand Ball of the Artists. Transmental travesty. Paris: Union of Russian Artists, 1923. Quarto, stapled, printed by François Bernouard on vellum paper and illustrated with works by Picasso, Goncharova, Juan Gris, Derain… as well as reproductions of poems by Tristan Tzara, Vicente Huidobro, Halina Izdebska… A rare programme for the ‘Transmental Travesty Ball’ organised by the Union of Russian Artists in aid of the Artists’ Relief Fund, held at the Salle Bullier on 23 February 1923. This ball is regarded as one of the most famous and significant events of the Dadaist movement.
