Pharmacy jar from northern Italy – second half of the 19th century. Painted majolica, 36 x 20 cm
A bulging cylindrical body, resting on a low circular foot and ending in a flared rim. Decorated in monochrome blue with architectural motifs and bands of stylised arches; reserved areas feature an inscription in Gothic script and a polychrome heraldic coat of arms depicting a vase of flowers within plant scrolls.
