Galant group with a lady on a swing, Germany; late 19th – early 20th century. Polychrome porcelain, 39 x 27 x 18 cm
The composition is inspired by the famous Rococo courtly subjects popularised by 18th-century Saxon manufacturers, reinterpreted in Central European production between the 19th and 20th centuries. Shaped base with rich decoration featuring gilded scrolls and vibrant polychrome colours. Mark on the reverse showing two crossed swords in blue underglaze.
