Semicircular Tuscan tile, late 19th century 45 x 45 cm
In glazed, polychrome ceramic, depicting the Virgin and Child flanked by two saints. The composition is framed at the top by a wide band decorated with fruit motifs and garlands, whilst the central band is adorned with cherubs. At the bottom, a cartouche bearing the family coat of arms. The lot is currently located at a private residence in Rome.Participation in the auction implies full acceptance of the condition that the collection of the lots awarded shall be entirely at the successful bidder’s own responsibility, risk and expense.
