Tibet, 19th century, A large gilded repoussé copper figure with traces of red polychromy and coral cabochons, depicting the deity Tara, seated in a regal posture on a double lotus, performing the vitarka mudra (gesture of teaching), holding two lotus stems, her face encircled by a five-flowered tiara, her ears adorned with large earrings, her torso adorned with jewellery.
