China, 19th century, in the Ming style A large basin in cloisonné enamel on copper, with polychrome decoration on a blue ground; the central medallion depicts a lakeside city flanked by mountain peaks and three phoenixes around the rim, whilst four five-clawed dragons complete the border decoration. The reverse is decorated with lotus stems, leafy stems and banners. Enamel shrinkage. Diameter: 51 cm
