Swedish Air Force dagger model 1930 offered to Carmine de Martino.
Fully watermarked fuse. Gilt brass mounting. Pommel, ferrule and cruise with guilloche decoration. Blade with median ridge.
Scabbard marked in gold "MED TACKSAMHET FRÅN SVENSKA FLYGVAPNET" ("With gratitude on behalf of the Swedish Air Force") with two gilt brass fittings.

Biography :
Carmine de MARTINO (1898-1963)
Italian politician and businessman.
He founded and managed the Société industrielle et agricole du sud de l'Italie (SAIM). At the end of the 1950s, he became Under-Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
He was also president of the US Salernitana football club.
