A limestone or marble plaque carved in bas-relief depicting a figure in a three-quarter left profile, facing a staff entwined by a serpent. (Asclepius/Aesculapius, Moses…). Letters engraved on the right-hand side of the slab in the Greek or Latin alphabet (?), possibly added after the sculpture was completed. In the Mesopotamian or Eastern Greek style. Late 19th – early 20th century or earlier.
