A Ndoma portrait mask carved from wood, with a beautiful dark patina and signs of wear from ritual use. A fine sculpture featuring a complex, shell-shaped headdress above a classical, well-proportioned face. It bears the traditional scarifications characteristic of high-ranking figures. On either side, the cheeks are adorned with small reliefs forming a beard and a sort of grip on the chin. The interior shows signs of wear and erosion that attest to its age.
