Very old and rare Tsaye mask in light polychrome wood. It has two pairs of eyes and a decoration of curves and two clovers. Very nice patina

Provenance: It is almost identical to the one in the Barbier-Muller collection (ex André Derain, 1880-1954) in terms of its workmanship and, above all, its unquestionable age. It is a reference model that can be found in all works on the iconography of African art. It may even have come from the same workshop as Derain's.
