# CHAMBA, NIGERIA
A pair of heavy wooden statues with a brown patina with red highlights and partly chipped. This is probably a work by the sculptor Soompa. It has all the characteristics of a Soompa statue: shoulders thrown forward, crested headdress, square mouths and, above all, the pair's shared legs. This is a rare piece, of which there are only around ten known examples.
