dominated by a prominent forehead, heavy eyelids and a narrow mouth,
giving the whole an intense presence. The original plant-fibre hairstyle

The long rectangular panel forming the neck is adorned with an incised geometric decoration
with light pigments, a motif characteristic of the Pende aesthetic. The alternation between
