Height: 29 cm Presented with base - gallery condition. A highly expressive Kasangu mask, emblematic of the warrior aesthetic of the Salampasu warrior aesthetic. The angular composition of the face, the aggressive mouth and the tense volumes express a desire to intimidate. The headdress is topped with the famous woven balls, a distinctive feature of this type, symbolising power, bravery and martial status.
