Rectangular lacquered wood tray, the central scene in gold maki-e lacquer depicting two ducks swimming in front of a small prunus in bloom on a black lacquer background, framed by a frieze of tsuishu (carved red lacquer) greciques, and a tsuishu border with chrysanthemum flower motifs.
