CHINA, MAJIAYAO CULTURE, NEOLITHIC PERIOD
A painted terracotta vase with a curved base and a globular body, topped by a short neck that flares at the opening, flanked by two small ring handles. It is coated with a light ochre slip enhanced by a geometric decoration painted in dark brown, consisting of large stylised triangular and ribbon motifs.
Height: 24cm
(Small chip and repair on the neck).
