POSSIBLY 14th CENTURY
Sculpted black stone stele depicting Padmapani, the bodhisattva shown standing on a lotiform base, his left hand holding a flowering stem blossoming on his shoulder, the other hand in varada mudra, dressed in a fine dhoti and adorned with numerous jewels. The whole resting on a mandorla surrounded by friezes of pearls and scrolls. Mounted on a later base.
