SHIVA NATARAJA
In bronze with brown patina
Depicted in his form as the king of dance, standing on his right leg and crushing the dwarf Apasmārapuruṣa. In his upper right hand he holds a drum (damaru) symbolising the primordial sound of the creation of the universe and in his left hand a flame symbolising the destruction of the world. His second right hand is in abhaya-mudrā, a gesture of protection.
