Two Chinese famille rose porcelain dishes. One ‘mandarin’ oblong octagonal dish is decorated with two ladies sitting in front of a pavilion, listening to a child reading. The background features stylised clouds, trees and plants. The other dish depicts a crane standing on a rock amidst blooming peonies. Qianlong period. 18th century. Diameter: 25–31 cm. The ‘mandarin’ dish is in perfect condition. The crane dish has been repaired.
