A pair of Chinese famille rose porcelain ‘landscape’ dishes. One porcelain plate depicts several people playing chess beneath pine trees, with a continuous landscape of mountains and rivers in the distance. Another shows a few people boating on a lake, with villages and tall mountains visible in the distance. Marked with the Qianlong six-character mark in underglaze blue. Qianlong period, 18th century. Diameter: 15.3 cm. Very good condition, with just a few tiny chips. (UV-checked).
