Set of two folding ‘kyokuroku’ meditation armchairs in red and gold lacquered wood, curved in a horseshoe shape with scrollwork at the ends and embellished with chiselled copper fittings. The backrest is carved with gold-lacquered ‘saya’ motifs. The seat is in black leather. The back of one of the chairs bears an inscription.
