PARIS, Restoration period: Jam pot with a 950 mil silver mount, chiselled and openwork, decorated with sphinxes, palmettes, small flowers and bunches of grapes. Swan-shaped handles and knobs. Square base with heart-shaped friezes and a four-legged base with lion’s paws. With a cut-glass lining. Paris hallmarks 1819–1938 (Michel-Ange and Cérès), master’s mark LR (a fishhook?). Height: 26 cm. Net weight: 829.2 g. Included is a set of 12 small 800 mil silver spoons with fluted handles, spoon heads and pointed spatulas. Department hallmarks, 2nd standard, 1819–1838 (Socrates and Hercules). Master’s hallmark: a radiating ‘B’. Weight: 249.8 g.
