Description
REASSEMBLED DINNER SERVICE in silver, featuring various flat-pattern designs. Comprising: - Three pieces of cutlery (three forks and three spoons). Saumur, probably 1738–1756. Master silversmith: Jean Bérard (admitted in 1711).  - Two sets of cutlery (two forks and two spoons), the handles marked R*B. Probably the work of Jean Bérard in Saumur. Hallmarked with a balance.  - One piece of cutlery (fork and spoon), the handles marked VN, alternating with the number 5 laid horizontally. Angers, 1738–1750. Master silversmith: Olivier Georges Laroche (admitted in 1730).  - Two spoons and three forks, the handles marked FP. Angers, 1775–1781. Master silversmith: Guillaume II-René Hardy (admitted in 1742). - Two forks and three spoons, one handle marked AL. Hallmarks of the Angers Generality, 18th century. - A set comprising a fork and a rat-tail spoon. The handles are marked CAS and the blades are engraved with IO (?).  Probably Paris, 1722–1727. Master silversmith illegible. - Two forks bearing unidentified hallmarks. Antique work. Total weight: 1,811g. Included is a silver napkin ring hallmarked with the Minerva motif Weight: 30g. (Normal signs of wear and scratches; sold as is).
