PAIR OF ROUND PLATES WITH COATS OF ARMS
in silver, with a filleted outline design.
The reverse sides are each engraved with the same inscription: MENZA ESCA.
Madrid, 1792. Silversmith: Real Fábrica de Platería Martínez.
The wings were subsequently engraved with the combined coat of arms of Louis Patas d’Illiers and his wife, née Marcelle Ouvré de Saint-Quentin (married in 1912), beneath a marquis’s crown.
