of baluster shape in silver, with a blackened wooden handle. The body is plain, decorated with a frieze of water leaves, and the feet are adorned with applied motifs of cephora figures ending in claws.
The spout, adorned with a palmette, ends in a ram’s head. The lid, decorated with friezes of water leaves and palmettes, is topped with a pomegranate.
Hallmarks: Second rooster, 1st standard, Paris, 1809–1819 and silversmith’s mark: J.-A. CRESSEND (stamped in 1810).
